Terrible twos in action

November 26th, 2006

Now I have to wonder what happened to my angels! My twins are officially banned from going out to the malls or grocery stores with me until further notice!!! I took them to the mall a few days ago and twin B cried as soon as I entered any stores. That was a very bad experience. They also do not want to stay in their stroller. I guess I have been spoiled with my first child who used her stroller faithfully unitl she was almost 4. So I let that pass then I decided to take them grocery shopping thinking it might be different. We put them in one big buggy which I was happy about but there was no strap. Then after 15 minutes, twin B decided she wants to change her seat! So of course Twin A wants the same thing. Since there was no strap it was hard to keep them at their spot. Then they decided they do not want to be in the shopping cart and they both came out of it - with my help of course. Then they decided they do not even want to hold hands. Before I know it Twin A is laying down on the floor crying no no no and the rest is history. I had to pick her up, pay as fast as possible and head towards home. For now, I will not take them out to the malls or gorcery shopping together unless I have major help or they grow up more.

Actually today for the first time; I believe, I left the twins with my husband and took my oldest daughter and went shopping and I did NOT feel guilty. It was actually peaceful.

starting my blog

October 20th, 2006

So I decided to start a blog about raising my twins, my older daughter, and maybe other issues. We shall see how it goes, how dedicatd I can actually be to this blog.

The twins will be 2 very soon. Terrible twos times two. Sometimes I think they have already gone through their terrible twos and then they do something nasty and at the moment I know there is more to come. Having an older sister has sure helped them to be more advanced, more talkative and more mischievous than I remember my first child to be at this stage.

I have not even started to potty train them yet. I tried that at 18 months with my first child on intervals and finally she was fully trained just before her 3rd birthday. With these two I have no energy. So I am going to wait for another 6 months, and then start a shorter process hopefully!!! Unless they show an interest earlier. I remember their doctor once said that girls are mostly trained by their 3rd birthday.

I also have a soother issue with them. They love their “soothie”. But we managed to get them to use it only at bedtime. That is until last week, when they became sick and were miserable. So now they want it all the time. Technically they should not even have it at night time. I have to come up with a plan to take it away soon.
